EQJunkies

The EQjunkies are a group of friends who started to play Everquest in ‘99.  Throughout the years they have played many different MMOs, but ultimately come back to the Everquest series (currently Everquest Two).  The Junkies have always enjoyed pushing MMOs to the limit, trying things that should be “impossible”, pwning the noobs, and having a great time in the process.  For a complete timeline of the EQjunkies please see this post.

Xailia

Xailia was born and raised a computer geek.  He started his gaming career on his grandfather’s Atari gaming system.  He received his own Nintendo at the age of 6.  He quickly got into the RPG/quest games with his father – conquering Dragon Warrior I-IV.  Later, he moved into computer games and continued to look for solid RPG games.  He tried Boulder’s Gate and others, but nothing caught his attention until he played Diablo.  During his sophomore year of high school he was introduced to Everquest One – just as the Velious expansion was coming out…he never looked back.

Xailia played Everquest with the rest of the EQjunkies throughout high school.  During his college years the him and the other EQJunkies experimented with DAOC, EQ2, FFXI, and other MMOs.  He eventually returned to EQ1 and went on to co-found Meiyo with Famien on the Bristlebane server until he left Everquest for WoW.  After a year wasted in WoW, Xailia began to seriously play Everquest Two, which is where he remains today.

Xailia received a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 2007 and is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH.
