I was on the EQ2 flames boards today and saw this post about the different types of people who claim Everquest will die.

I have to hand it to Jarreth - he summed up many of the different types of people and the claims they make against EQ.

The long and short of it is that people will keep playing EQ until the world (real) ends.  There will be no EQ killeer, hell, there won’t be any WoW killer, or even Sim City 1.0 killer.  There will always be some crazy nut who still plays games that are on the older side (I won’t go back to atari and Commadore64…but I’ll give you this link).  Not that I have anything against playing old games - I still contend that Jones in the Fast Lane is one of the best titles ever released.

Anyways, give his post a read - I enjoyed it if nothing else.
